Summer is slamming at Kihei Kalama Village as Hawaiʻi continues to welcome more visitors. Maui is still reopening our economy and many businesses are doing their best to accommodate everyone equally, residents and visitors alike. Make the most of your adventures and know the reopening rules!

As of May 9, 2021, restaurants can increase capacity to 50 percent and stay open until midnight. The good news for you bar crawlers out there is that the time difference between Hawaiʻi and the mainland is between 2-6 hours! So 12 AM might just feel like 2 AM after all.

The famous Kihei Caffe!

Restaurants will be able to open up to 75% capacity once the state achieves a 60% vaccination rate.

When the state achieves a 70% vaccination rate all restrictions will end and Maui can fully reopen to normal levels of occupancy!

While Kihei Kalama Village has the best eateries in South Maui, some lines can be long during peak times, and some restaurants are still filling up staff positions. Try visiting during less popular times to score on your delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Calling ahead can also smooth the process. We encourage you to browse at our many boutique shops while you wait for your table.

Make the most of your visit to the South Side of Maui at Kihei Kalama Village. Our open restaurants and bars are some of the most famous on the island, and the tropical beauty of Kihei can’t be beat.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
